RMHwin
Rational Method Hydrology Software for Orange, Riverside and San Bernardino Counties
Features
· Windows. RMH is now a Windows application.
· Automatic confluence designation by common downstream node numbers. Nested confluence levels supported. No need for the user to designate confluences or manipulate data banks – the program does that automatically.
· Schematic watershed diagram.
· Street sections can be stored as templates and recalled with a click. All dimensions are variable. Parallel pipe option maximizes street flow.
· Program-selected pipe sizes can be limited by minimum and maximum sizes in each record.
· Travel time calculations in reach-distributed subareas use true average Q.
· Pipe and box flow use velocity head loss coefficient, not percentage of invert slope.
· All subareas allow area entry in the same record, reach-distributed or node-concentrated based on conveyance.
· Remarks allowed in each record.
· Clean, logical screens and printouts. Printing to printer or file. Truly friendly and logical data entry.
· Easy editing.
· Backward compatible with current DOS datafiles; however some records may need editing.
· Street hydraulics utility.
· Free program support. No annual fee. No hardware key. No copy protection.
· Users’ manual.
· Accepted by all three counties.
· Rainfall, soil, land use, etc. per each county’s hydrology manual. Additional county-specific features:
Riverside: Select geographical region from a table, Plate D-4.1, which sets I's and I-D slope. A “region” named “0.2 in/hr” is included to facilitate WQMP preparation.
San Bernardino: Optionally print values for synthetic unit hydrograph input.
Calculate 1-year storm. Print Small Area Unit Hydrograph & 10% durations for WQMP.
